Kelis announced this week that she will be a part of a new Netflix marijuana themed cooking show that is set to debut on 4/20.
The six-episode series will be co-hosted by the singer and the chef Leather Storrs, as Food & Wine notes.
Each episode features three pro chefs tasked with creating a three-course cannabis-infused meal with an instructed theme for a whopping $10,000 prize. The first season features dinner guests that include Ricki Lake, Too $hort, and EL-P.
In an Instagram post, Kelis wrote, “As a chef, I was intrigued by the food and as an everyday person, I was interested in how powerful this topic is in today’s society. In this country, many things have been used systematically to oppress groups of people, but this is so culturally important for us to learn and grow together.”
