Ohio’s State Medical Board has started to accept license applications from doctors who want to be able to help their patients get access to medical marijuana.

Any physician who wants to join the state’s medical marijuana program has to have an active license to practice in Ohio as well as take two hours of classes on diagnosing and treating conditions with medical marijuana. They also must have no financial interests in any medical marijuana companies.

Ohio’s medical board’s licensure team will be reviewing applications and then present them to board members.

Some approvals are expected to be given on April 11th.
