The Cannabis Business Women’s Empowerment Summit will take place in Los Angeles on July 22nd this year and there will be a lot of women showing up to it.

According to a study, women now make up 36% of the executives in the marijuana industry.

“There are more women leaders in the cannabis industry than any other industry,” the summit’s website says. “However, there is still much work to be done.”

The event on the 22nd will focus on helping women who enter the industry to pair up with mentors who have already seen a great amount of success. Each woman who attends the meeting will be put into groups that will have mentors.

Topics at the summit will include issues that women face such as challenges and business success, getting funding, negotiating their worth, and being assertive.

Women who have been invited to speak or be mentors include Celeste Miranda, who founded the Cannabis Marketing Lab in California, Sara Batterby, the president and CEO of HiFi Farms in Oregon, Ariel Clark from the Clark Neubert law firm with locations in Santa Monica and San Francisco, and Alexis d’Angelo, the vice president of Business Development at Women Grow.
