According to data from pollster Gallup, nearly half of America is worried about what will happen to drivers behind the wheel if marijuana is legalized.

A Gallup poll has recently shown that support for marijuana legislation in America is the highest it has ever been but 47% of people are worried about drivers behind the wheel if the drug is available at local convenience stores.

It was in June that the survey surveyed 1,007 adults across the nation, asking them if they think legalizing pot would make the roads, “a lot less safe,” “a little less safe, ” or “not make much difference.” Half said it wouldn’t make much of a difference but 30% believed it with be a lot less safe. The rest said it would be “a little less safe.”

The biggest issues with marijuana is the fact that there is no way to establish what should be a legal amount of THC, the psychoactive component of the drug.

It’s no wonder that people are concerned when there are no guidelines for the drug the way that there are for alcohol.
