The total came out to $587.25 for an ounce of high-end cannabis. An ounce. That’s it.
It’s enough to roll a few dozen joints at most.
The total includes taxes and without the taxes it would still be $450.
The high tax prices are something Californians are having to swallow to be able to buy their weed.
Legally sold marijuana in the state has a 15 percent excise tax.
