CBDFx Review and Guide by Stephanie Jensen at CBD Origin

Just a quick search for the “best CBD products,” and you likely came across CBDfx.

There’s a reason why you always see this company. They make high-quality CBD products. Their selection is vast, and they also have affordable prices. All cannabinoids are extracted using CO2 extraction, so their products are also safe.

I heard great things about this brand, so I got my stepdad their CBD joint cream for his birthday. He loves it! I decided to get myself their full spectrum tincture and dry skin balm, and I’m beyond impressed.

Here’s my honest review of CBDfx. I purchased all products with my own money – long before I even signed up for this review! Therefore, this is my honest review.

TL;DR?

CBDfx is an eight-year-old CBD company that sells a wide range of products. You may have heard of them, and that’s because they have a strong brand reputation and release high-quality products.

They conduct third-party testing for all products, ensuring their products are safe. I’m currently using their tincture and balm, and I especially love their dry skin balm. I got my stepdad their muscle and joint balm, and he really likes it.

Transparency

With so many CBD companies out there, let’s first focus on CBDfx’s transparency on everything from hemp sourcing to product testing.

Hemp Sourcing

CBDfx explains that they use organic hemp in all of their products. However, they don’t name the farmers where they source their hemp.

They also don’t include a USDA-organic seal. This doesn’t mean they’re lying; this information is just not readily available on their website. The farm could be using organic farming methods without the USDA approval with the organic claim.

As stated previously. CBDfx claims they use CO2 extraction. This is one of the safest extraction methods since there are no chemical residues.

Product Testing

CC Testing Labs conducted the third-party lab test for my tincture and other CBDfx products.

The test is very thorough; it measures the cannabinoid content and the presence of any contaminants or solvents. My tincture passed.

Some CBD content claims are slightly off, but only within 10%. I honestly don’t think that’s too big of a deal, especially since this is still fairly close to the amount that CBDfx claimed.

Brand Reputation

I first discovered CBDfx through various CBD review websites, such as this one. I swear this brand showed up on all of them! Curiosity took the best of me, so I did more digging and discovered this brand’s positive reputation.

CBDfx was formed in 2014 by Jameson Rodgers and Ali Esmaili. Eight years is actually a long time for the CBD industry. I only discovered CBD in 2015, so this brand emerged right before the CBD boom.

Since then, CBDfx has received accolades. They’re BBB-certified, have 27K five-star customer reviews, and even have their own medical advisory board.

They earned several certificates, including the Natural Product Association, California Hemp Council, National Hemp Association, Hemp Industries Association, and U.S. Hemp Roundtable.

I see them using terms such as “anxiety.” Still, they don’t say their products help with anxiety or other specific ailments. In all honesty, I’ve seen CBD brands make wider claims.

In addition, I searched the FDA’s website, and CBDfx never received a warning letter.

Customer Service

I’ve never had to contact CBDfx customer service, so I can’t say anything from my personal experience here.

Reviewers have overall had positive experiences with their customer service. While I would argue they have a strict return policy compared to competitors, you can return your product after 30 days.

Their shipping was also very fast. I ordered my products during the Omicron wave when shipping delays occurred again.

Products

CBDfx offers a wide range of products with these categories:

  • CBD Edibles, including gummies and cookies
  • CBD Sleep Aids
  • CBD for Pets, including treats, balm, and CBD tincture
  • CBD Vape
  • Full-spectrum CBD
  • CBD Capsules
  • Topicals, including CBD Cream for muscles and feet, along with CBD Balm for joints and moisture.
  • CBD Beauty products like face and foot masks.
  • Bundles allow you to try various items simultaneously to see what you like.

They even offer CBD + mushrooms for a unique healing experience.

Pricing

CBDfx is competitively priced. Actually, I would argue they’re one of the most affordable brands for the quality you’re getting. If you know you want multiple products, CBDfx offers various bundles so you can save money.

How to Choose the Right Products

CBDFx Review and Guide

If you’re new to CBD, the wide selection that CBDfx offers may seem very intimidating.

Ask yourself what you want from a CBD product to narrow your options. If you have localized stiffness and soreness, opt for a topical. CBDfx offers a variety of topicals and bath salts to heal localized areas.

However, choose an edible product if you want general wellness or non-localized treatment, such as improved sleep. These are available in three categories: tincture, gummies, and capsules.

With tinctures, you can either take them using the sublingual method or mix them with food. You take capsules as you would any vitamins. With gummies, you obviously eat them.

CBDfx doesn’t offer many beauty products, though they offer a balm for very dry skin. I tried that and will discuss my experience in the next section.

About the CBDfx Products, I’m Using

The two CBDfx products I’m using are the CBD + THC Drops in Ultimate Chill Blend and the Calming and Moisturizing Balm Stick. Here’s my review of both.

CBDFx CBD Oil Tincture: Ultimate Chill Blend

This is one of the strongest tinctures I’ve seen. I’m using the 1,500mg one, which is the weakest option. This tincture goes up to 6,000mg! It contains 67.5mg of THC as a full spectrum tincture, so it’s below the legal line.

In addition to the hemp extract, this tincture only contains MCT oil and natural blueberry and lemon flavoring. I usually use natural-flavored CBD oil, but this flavoring is delicious! It’s not overpowering and doesn’t taste synthetic at all. Just a subtle and pleasant flavor.

They have different tincture options, but I chose this one since I mainly take CBD for anxiety.

My only problem with this is it’s a PAIN to open! I’m often pushing down as far as I can on the dropper and screwing it with a towel in hand. Otherwise, I feel reduced anxiety every day.

CBDFx Calming and Moisturizing Balm

This is really the product that impressed me the most. While CBDfx and other brands are careful about saying their products treat/cure ailments (actually, so am I), I will say this balm did wonders for my eczema.

My eczema always worsens during the winter months and anywhere with dry weather. My hands are especially the worst. They get super dry, and when I put lotion on them, they turn red, and I feel a burning sensation (it’s an inflammatory response).

I couldn’t get an appointment to see my dermatologist immediately, I decided to try CBDfx’s Calming and Moisturizing Balm Stick.

I immediately saw improvements. The inflammation calmed down, and my redness went away. I did have to apply the balm a couple of times a day, but now I don’t even need to apply it daily!

In addition to CBD, CBDfx uses coconut oil, shea butter, lavender oil, rosemary extract, chamomile essential oil, tea tree oil, and a variety of other skin-healthy ingredients. These ingredients moisturize the skin and will reduce inflammation.

I also love the way this balm smells. It has a slight earthy smell with hints of lavender. It’s a very relaxing scent and is not too overpowering.

The directions say to apply a small amount of product to the affected area and rub it.

I don’t rub it in because I don’t want the balm on my fingers. It’s a stick formula, so I just rub the stick gently on the area very briefly and let it soak in. The skin will be balmy for a minute, but it sinks in very quickly.

Alternatives

CBDfx isn’t the only high-quality brand out there. While I really like them, there are other CBD brands that I really like.

SunMed

SunMed

I know I talk about SunMed all the time, and that’s because they don’t get the recognition they deserve.

They have a diverse product line, and everything they sell is high-quality.

While their products are pricier than CBDfx and competitors, they’re not the most expensive brand I’ve seen. All of their products have been third-party tested by a reliable company. You can get their products online and at a My CBD Store near you.

The Outside Way

The Outside Way

I tend to see the same CBD companies on these review websites, so I want to mention a smaller CBD company that deserves the recognition.

The founders of The Outside Way strive to achieve wellness through CBD, yoga, and outdoor activities. While they don’t have the largest product line, they sell everything from tinctures to topicals.

I’ve only tried their tincture, but it was potent and got the job done. I definitely suggest you check out this brand and purchase its products.

Charlotte’s Web

Charlotte’s Web

This is a brand you more than likely knew. I do see them on review sites constantly. In all honesty, they deserve the recognition. They have a wide product selection and a strong brand reputation.

I’ve tried their full spectrum CBD capsules, and I really like them. You can buy their products online, though I have seen them in retailers such as Earthfare.

FAQs

Question: Does the Full Spectrum Tincture Get You High?

Answer: I really wish CBDfx didn’t put “delta-9 THC” on their packaging. I even saw that and thought, uhh, can they legally sell that

No, it’s a compliant tincture with less than 0.3% delta-9 THC. Don’t let the packaging fool you; that’s not enough THC to get you high. If you don’t want any THC in your CBD products, CBDfx also sells many broad spectrum products.

Question: Is CBDfx Trustworthy?

Answer: I say so. My ordering experience was easy, and I received my products very quickly. As I stated previously, this company has been around for eight years and emerged during the initial CBD boom. They’re certified by the BBB and have several positive customer reviews.

Question: I Want to Try Other CBDfx Products. What Do You Recommend?

Answer: I’ve also heard great things about CBDfx vape pens and gummies. They sell disposable CBD pens that are ready to use. Their gummies are available in both full and broad spectrum in various delicious flavors.

Bottomline

CBDfx is a CBD brand with a strong reputation. I tried them on a whim before I even agreed to this review. I can attest and say they have high-quality products that show results. They also undergo lab testing for their products, and they only use natural ingredients.

CBDfx isn’t a perfect brand. For example, competitors have more relaxed return policies than CBDfx. I also wish they were more transparent about where they source their hemp. Otherwise, CBDfx is a trustworthy brand that makes safe and quality CBD products.
