Hip hop group Cypress Hill, which consists of Lawrence ‘DJ Muggs’ Muggerud,

Louis ‘B-Real’ Freese, Senen ‘Sen Dog’ Reyes and Eric ‘Bobo’ Correa, had marijuana to thank for their star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

The Los Angeles-based hip hop group had been honored Thursday morning with their own star on the famous boulevard, according to CBS LA.

The group is known for marijuana friendly songs like “Hits from The Bong” and “I want to Get High” as well as “Dr. Greenthumb.”

Frontman B-Real (Louis Freese) told Variety, “We’re medicating. We’re eating clean. We stay in the gym. We never did party too excessively. We party, but it’s not every night and we’re not drunk and sloppy. Weed was the answer for us.”

“Being away from friends and family and the comforts of home is tough. Sure, we’ve had our disagreements like brothers do. Every band goes through it,” said B-Real to Variety. “Clearly, cannabis has been a big factor in keeping us together.”
