A marijuana dispensary in Wintersville, Ohio is set to be the store that has the very first legal marijuana purchase happen next week.

The state’s first sale of medical marijuana is expected to take place at the CY+ dispensary in Wintersville, according to Jason Erkes, the spokesman for Cresco Labs which owns CY+.

“We’re thinking that’s what’s going to happen,” Erkes said. “We’re ready to go.”

According to Erkes, the product at the dispensary will be dried flower and there will not be edibles, tinctures, pills or other products. That is until processing plants come on line and the mechanics of Ohio’s program become more familiar to everyone involved.

“Everyone is doing everything for the first time,” Erkes said. The first batch of dried flower is expected to cover around 30 strains.
