Medical marijuana growers in the state of Oregon are preparing for this summer, when about 2,000 of them will have to start using the state’s Cannabis Tracking System.

They will have to use the system to insure that the marijuana they grow for patients is tracked and reported, acording to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) which made the announcement on Thursday.

The OLCC and the Oregon Health Authority has launched a series of information sessions and workshops to help these growers register with the program to start the sign up process to use the system.

Currently over 1,800 licensees in Oregon’s Recreational Marijuana system are already using the tracking system.
