According to state and federal law enforcement authorities, firearms will not be allowed for Pennsylvanians who want to be medical marijuana patients.

The state is gearing up to issue medical marijuana cards by the time the year ends.
Marijuana is federally classified as a Schedule 1 drug. It is a drug that is considered to have “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse,” says the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Special Agent Joshua E. Jackson, the spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Washington, D.C., has said, “There are no exceptions in federal law for marijuana used for medicinal or recreational purposes.”
