The government retail website for Alberta is now offering single brand of seeds for sale.

Without a medical license, people who wanted to grow their own marijuana have had trouble buying cannabis seeds legally. That is until now.

Alberta’s online cannabis retail website is now offering seeds for those looking to try their hand at homegrown horticulture.

Regulating agency, Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) has warned however that most of the seeds are feminized and that the producers can’t guarantee that every seed will flower.

The website is offering two varieties of seeds from Ontario-based producer Tweed. One is mainly THC while the other a THC-CBD hybrid. They are being sold at $45 and $60, respectively, for an amount equivalent to four grams of dried cannabis.
The cheaper variety quickly sold out as of January 3rd.
