According to new research, it seems that many marijuana users are employed by the government.
It was Consumer Research Around Cannabis that surveyed 1,368 people that live in the D.C. media market. This is a market with five million adults in not only Washington D.C. but also West Virginia, some parts of Virginia, and Maryland.
Out of all of those surveyed, 8% said they have bought cannabis from a legal retailer or dispensary.
It was found that 11% of the surveyors who were also government employees, had bought legal marijuana. Government employees accounted for 16.7% out of the buyers.
In the survey, 41% of the government employees approved of medical marijuana and legalized adult use.
